Ceelox is offering its online biometric authentication solution for the White House’s new plan to protect against identity theft
In response to the federal government’s recently released plan to improve online authentication processes in the country, Ceelox is offering its solutions for biometric identification on the internet.
The Obama administration recently announced its National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace as part of its "Cyberspace Policy Review," designed to protect citizens from identity theft. Ceelox has responded to fill the strategy’s need for an authentication solution by offering its ID Online software equipped with two-factor biometric ID features that integrates into personal computers as well as systems for government, enterprise and financial institutions.
Company officials recently explained the need for technological solutions to the growing identity theft problem in the country. Gerry Euston, Ceelox’s chief executive officer, said "the loss of a person’s identity and the lack of internet security is a significant and growing crisis that cripples individuals, companies and even our own government."
"We believe the time has arrived to introduce technology aimed at protecting a person’s identity while offering a secure platform for online transactions promoting commerce growth," he added.
The White House revealed its plan for online identity of users across the country on June 25, calling for the expansion of security measures taken on federal employees to protect the nation’s consumers.
