ID software is the first step in developing ID cards – whether plastic, color PVC cards, contactless, magnetic or other – and an important part of ID card systems. Now a German ID supplier (ID Digital Solutions) has launched new ID software. The ID software suite called EDIsecure Card Management includes extended functionality and a new graphical user interface for its two stand-alone editions, CMS Standard and CMS Standard Plus. The graphic user interface in the two stand-alone editions utilizes familiar Microsoft-like control. There are also two Web-enabled editions, CMS Advanced and CMS Corporate that allow card issuance and data access to be securely distributed over a network.
The ID software is created to meet many company budgets. The software suites offer different levels of functionality and a range of features for different applications. These applications include items such as employee and visitor cards, access control, membership and loyalty cards, driver licenses, and photo IDs.
The ID software suite comes with various styles to modify the graphic user interface can be selected to meet individual customer requirements with different color themes and toolbars. Each edition of the software is designed for different uses.
The standard edition of the software is for single-user ID applications such as small businesses, health care facilities, schools, and clubs, where a database is not necessary to manage personal records. The CMS Standard Plus edition addresses the ID card production needs of corporations and car service organizations that need to maintain several databases.
Meanwhile, the CMS Advanced edition is designed for medium to large organizations operating via a corporate network. Lastly, CMS Corporate is for large corporations and organizations that need more secure credential applications.
