When it comes to plastic card image quality, the "garbage in, garbage out" philosophy really applies. Make sure your photos are not too yellow due to the lighting (fluorescent light, light angle, direct sunlight, etc.), too bright, too dark or red-eyed. Here are four quick adjustments you can make to your images using Photoshop or other photo editing software.
Image > Adjustments > Levels... (Ctrl+L)
Image > Auto Tone (Shift+Ctrl+L)
Image > Auto contrast (Alt+Shift+Ctrl+L)
Image > Auto Color (Shift+Ctrl+B)
